Hello,
I'm Ruby - a Wellbeing Coach.
I support people who care about social justice to gain better balance through coaching and therapy, so you can show up with confidence and purpose.
If you're feeling stuck, and would like to find a way to move forwards with an issue, I can help. A coaching session involves being truly listened to, exploring a safe, confidential, reflective space to think. Helping you work through a difficult situation in your life and understand, befriend or transcend your behaviour patterns.
By helping you navigate a new path forwards and asking incisive questions, I work to boost self-compassion and resilience for any challenges or periods of transition in your life, no matter how big or small.
Current portfolio
Who I work with:
> A Wellbeing Coach for the NHS Leadership Academy and private clients;
> UK Chapter Lead at Mindful Return, coaching and facilitating a support programme for mums returning to work;
> Marketing & Events Lead at Julie's Bicycle, an environmental charity supporting the cultural sector;
> Coach-Therapist for the Climate-Aware Therapeutic Support Directory
About Me
In addition to coaching, I'm a Bloomberg Tech Fellow and business development lead with 17 years’ managerial experience in the non profit sector, particularly committed to supporting social and climate justice causes, and the incredible people driving them.
I'm passionate about promoting wellbeing, and facilitating lasting positive behaviour change in my teams, audience and clients.
I'm based in South London with my young son and partner, and in my spare time I can get geeky about yoga, arts, board games, and music.
How I can help
I support individuals through challenging periods in their lives to find balance, clarity and purpose.
Why you, why now?
You may have an issue / question to bring to our session to work through together, something you’re looking to shift or develop. A nagging of un-utilised potential. Or maybe just a sense that you know something needs to change, even if you don’t know quite what that is! And now is a time you’re willing to reflect, and take action. I will help hold you accountable to making progress on your goals or let go of behaviour patterns standing in your way.
What can I help with?
Confidence and resilience; behaviour change; self care and dealing with burnout; career development; redundancy; life transitions, including returning to work after maternity; working with shame / the inner critic; managing stress and anxiety; shifting procrastination and more.

"Ruby has been incredible to work with. I’ve done coaching in the past and found it frustrating and largely unhelpful so I started this coaching in a very skeptical state of mind. In less than three months, not only has Ruby entirely converted me, she’s also instigated me starting a new job and massively improved my levels of confidence and motivation.
At the start of these sessions Ruby asked what my ideal outcome would be and I said a new job in a specific sector that would allow me to expand my freelance work. After 5 years feeling very stuck in a rut and unable to change my job, circumstances and low mood I now have exactly that.
I honestly wouldn’t have applied for the new role let alone had the confidence to get it without Ruby's coaching. Her gentle but persistent way of getting me to consider the various issues I was facing was really effective and I especially appreciated that she worked in a way to suit me and my practical approach to things. I can’t recommend Ruby enough. She’s quite literally changed my life."

"Life affirming. Ruby is an amazing coach who worked with me through an extremely challenging period in my life and allowed me to reclaim my voice, my strength and my narrative which I am so grateful for!"
Fatima, Researcher (Coaching client)
"Ruby led me through sessions of Compassionate Inquiry with a wonderful calm, positive and supportive presence. She gently got me to visit various problem areas ensuring I related my thoughts to emotional responses in my body and how to improve these with self parenting going forward. I am very grateful for her insight and understanding. The sessions have been very impactful and I use the practical tools she taught me regularly."
Lesley, Teacher & Shop Assistant (Compassionate Inquiry client)
Training in Compassionate Inquiry
I have completed the trauma-informed Professional Compassionate Inquiry® training and additional mentorship programme. I continue to be a trainee until completion of certification (estimated Spring 2026).
Compassionate Inquiry® is a transformational psychotherapeutic coaching practice developed by Dr Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur that helps heal historical trauma, whilst building a reconnection with our body and emotions. It is a way of exploring the patterns, adaptations and challenges we experience in our lives, and better understand and overcome limiting beliefs.
I am currently offering a number of clients a free series of 50minute Compassionate Inquiry-informed therapy sessions in return for feedback and recordings whilst I train.
To support this therapeutic counselling approach, I have Certificates in Therapeutic Coaching Practice, an Advanced Counsellor & Psychotherapist certificate (Level 4, NIOQ) and am in the middle of an MSc in Integrative Counselling & Coaching.

Your grounded presence helped me to open up quickly and this made it possible to discover and make sense of some of my previously unconscious patterns that have kept me back for a long time. Thank you, Ruby, for being there and giving me the space I needed!
Simone, Digital Project Manager (Compassionate Inquiry client)
